Total cancer patient visiting Rohtak Medical College was only 347 in 1980 while in 2008 it has crossed 20000. Here Ptients come from over 18 districts of Haryana.
Patients are 35 per cent farmers, while house wives are 33% students and labour were only 9 per cent.
Over all 73 per cent cancer patients come from rural areas.
Over 57 times increase in number of cancer patients visiting this hospital in last about 28 years.
